We are delighted to announce that we will be holding our first ever Colour Run on Sunday 9th July!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept of a Colour Run then it is essentially a fun run with a twist! We'll be setting up an obstacle course on the school field. After getting a little wet with water shooters, you can run, jog, walk or skip around the course, with different coloured powder paint being thrown over you.
Here is an example of what we are planning!
You will get about 20 minutes of running time and runners will be set off in waves so we don’t get too many people on the course at once. It is up to you how many times you go around the course. Even better you could help us raise even more money for school by asking people to sponsor you if you complete the course. Sponsorship forms can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
You do not have to be a pupil at the school to take part. In fact we are really hoping for as many people as possible, of any age, to join in the race and we are encouraging people from the local area to come and join in the fun.
We are strongly recommending runners to book their places as soon as possible. As we have to pre order the paint and medals we simply cannot accommodate lots of last minute bookings. We may have spare places on the day, but to avoid disappointment please book by Friday 30th June.
As well as the colour run we will also have lots else going on. There will be games, stalls and a tombola with prizes to be won. There will also be a bar and plenty of food to purchase. So even if the colour dash isn't for you, please pop along & support the event on the day.
