If you would like to be involved and enter our Scarecrow Trail then please fill in the form below. It is completely free to enter but if you would like to make a donation then we would be very grateful. All money raised goes towards supporting the school.

Terms and Conditions

To enter, please complete the entry form with your contact information and the address/location of your scarecrow.
All scarecrows should be displayed within Heptonstall, Slack and the immediate surrounding area. If you are outside this area then we will endeavour to match you with a host house.
All entries must be submitted by midnight on Sunday 23^rd April in order to secure your place on the trail map.
Scarecrows should be displayed from Saturday 29th April 2023 – Monday 8th May 2023.
By entering, you are agreeing to your entry being photographed and used in publicity about the Scarecrow Trail. Should you wish to withdraw your consent please contact us via the form on our contact page.
All entries must display a trail identification sheet which will be provided by The Parents and Friends of Heptonstall School.
The Parents and Friends of Heptonstall School will provide a map of the scarecrow entries during the festival and an online gallery.
Each entrant can enter one scarecrow or a group of scarecrows.
Scarecrows should be displayed within the boundary of your property and be clearly visible from the road for judging. Please ensure that your scarecrow is secure so as not to fall or cause harm or damage to any person or property.
Scarecrows should be constructed to be weatherproof in case of inclement weather.
Prizes will be awarded to the three scarecrows created by individuals with the most votes as well as the top group entry.
The Parents and Friends of Heptonstall School will hold the information on your form in compliance with GDPR requirements.
Please remember that this is an event for the whole community so please avoid horror, graphic images, racial or sexual content.
